CRS (Carpenter, Roth and Sabo) at The Larimer Arts Center

Larimer Arts Center, Palatka, Florida

In 1994 First National Rotagilla Band founder Bill Sabo started the Outta Sight Band, an after school contemporary music group at The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind. Jim Carpenter (also of Rotagilla notoriaty) came on as an instructor in 1997 and Elizabeth Roth, also an active local performer, joined them in 2004.

Inspired by their work together at the school, the three instructors started performing together. Initially putting together a set of Irish music, the three decided that they should branch into a Peter Paul and Mary tribute band, and now their repertoire has expanded to include classic oldies, early Motown, Woodstock Era rock and more. The Trio named the group CRS, which doesn’t stand for what you think. It stands for Carpenter, Roth and Sabo. Following Bill’s lead and his flair for comedy and drama, the group often uses costuming - and it isn’t unusual to see Sonny and Cher and Joe Cocker and others pop up on stage during their performances. Please join us for a night of fun!
